Focus on the Feminine

HFA has pledged to increase public awareness of women affected with bleeding disorders. Most women have been recently diagnosed and are usually only diagnosed in major medical centers. There is a tremendous educational need for prospective patients and their families, their physicians, medical personnel and reimbursement centers. In addition to education, HFA provides affected women with emotional support and the exchange of ideas through community groups, an internet chat room, and an organized buddy system.
